Chia Berries Jam

I love making a pot or 2 to keep in the fridge and enjoy it for breakfast on a piece of toast, on my pancakes or my porridge. It’s super simple, loaded with antioxidants (from both chia and berries). Chia is also packed with proteins, fibres and omega-3. I make it with frozen organic berries (available through the year) and a tiny bit of maple syrup.
Ingredients
1 pot
- 300g of organic frozen berries
(I like a mix of blueberries and raspberries) - 3 tbsp of chia seeds
- 1-3 tbsp of maple syrup
(depending of how sweet you want it)
Method
In a saucepan, heat the frozen berries on a medium heat for around 10 min, stirring from time to time. You want them to get soft and mashed.
Now add the chia seeds and maple and reduce to a low heat. Cook for another 10 min, stirring occasionally.
Transfer in a sterilised jar and let it cool before storing in the fridge.
